North Sea Pelagic
It's never been done before! A North Sea Pelagic for Seabirds and Cetaceans to the Dogger Bank around 70 miles from land. There has been limited research in this area of the North Sea so we do not know what birds and cetaceans we will see as the area is unchartered by tour companies and relatively un-surveyed. We will hope to find something different. You will be a pioneer. Be the first!
This is a not to be repeated chance to go somewhere unique. We hope to see Skuas and shearwaters as well as have close views of Leach's and Storm Petrels and who knows ... maybe even a dark rumped Petrel.
Cetaceans that are known to use the Dogger Bank are varied but we know the following have been seen: Harbour Porpoise, White-beaked Dolphin, Short-beaked Common Dolphin, Bottlenose Dolphin, Risso's Dolphin, Atlantic White sided Dolphin, Orca, Long-finned Pilot Whale, Minke Whale, Fin and Humback Whale.
